Welcome to Aparecium Magicae, a collaborative writing group producing stories within an alternate timeline of the Harry Potter universe. Join us as we "reveal the magic" of writing, storytelling, and character exploration.

Aparecium Magicae takes place in 2025 at the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry on the highest peak of Mount Greylock in Adams, Massachusetts. It is concealed from No-Maj (muggles/non-magic folks) gaze by a variety of powerful enchantments, which sometimes manifest themselves as a wreath of misty clouds.

Ilvermorny, for the first time in history, has had a forced change of Headmaster by its Board of Governors. This year marks the first of Professor Jessica Buckthorn, former Deputy Headmistress, taking the reins. With that came the appointment of Professor Broke Colibiri as Deputy Headmistress and Head of the Horned Serpent house.

While all seems well when walking the halls of the school, there is still a lingering thought in many of the professor and student’s minds as to why the Governors acted in such a manner.
